To Becky, the Chemo Warrior Princess

{source} Sarah Kang

My sweet cousin Becky lost her valiant fight with breast cancer today at the University of Washington Hospital. She fought very hard against a very aggressive and difficult cancer. She kept her sense of humor and good spirits to the very end and everyone who was around her felt of her love and the joy. Her husband and young children will be very, very sad for long while, but having their mom's smiling face and laughter in their memories will help to carry them through. I know Becky is in the loving arms of her older brother Jonathan, who died 17 year ago, also from cancer. They all have a deep faith and testimony of Jesus Christ and have been stalwart examples of showing love in difficult times. She was a Warrior, a Fighter, and one of the greatest examples of humor, facing adversity, and faith I have known. I am thrilled she was part of the rich tapestry of my family. All my love Becky. Until we meet again.

Don't miss this!!!

I just wanted to send some more love to my cousin Becky. She's in a fight for her life and she's doing amazing. She's bringing people together in love and support and showing her never give up attitude to everyone. I have no idea how hard this really is for her, but I do know I send her my prayers and support every day.

You don't want to miss the event coming up tomorrow, Sept 7. Not the first day of school, although it is for us. The Bald for Becky committee, comprised of her sisters and brother, are hosting an amazing auction and fundraiser to help Becky's family. Not only do they have awesome tee-shirts, they have had some really amazing donors give some things you don't want to miss out on. Be sure to stop by the blog early so you don't miss anything fun.

And, if you are in the area and can attend the biggest party of the month, Becky would love to have you sign her head. She's adorable, isn't she? You can donate blood, play with the kiddies, and be surprised with the rest of the fun in store. I wish I could go, so if you do, give them hugs from me.

Photos and poster copywrite Sarah Kang. Amazing, isn't she? So much talent and creativity in one family.
