Sad Day

Too many things to do... Sometimes you are given the chance to slow down and focus on what's really important rather than all of the stuff  you have made important that isn't.
Meg' birthday party is supposed to be tomorrow. I have been sewing and crafting like crazy trying to plan a perfect 5 year old party that meets her high expectations. Also, Joey's blessing is scheduled for Sunday and I was planning a get together and dinner after that. In the middle of all of this, we have been sick with colds, all of us.
Yesterday afternoon Joey had a blue spell. His lips and fingers and toes turned blue. I knew he had been wheezing and it had been getting worse. I headed for his dr in a hurry where they then turned around quickly and called the EMT's to take us to the hospital. He never stopped breathing, he just wasn't getting enough air.
We have been in the hospital overnight and he's on oxygen and doing better. Breathing treatments have helped some, and he's being watched closely. Party stuff has fallen by the wayside while we try and get the baby well enough to come home. Meg is cool with it, because it gives her time to plan even more stuff she wants to do.
I am thankful for my Mom who is here to help with  kiddos and for the love and concern of friends and family. It might be a sad day to see my baby sick, but I have much to be grateful for.
